10 Image generators

9 RSS, news feeds

At this juncture, I am not really into blogs. So I would not access Edublog, Google Blog Search, or Blog Pulse. I do not usually depend on news and media outlets for daily reads so I would not use Topix.net. My eyes went every which way when I viewed Syndic8.com and Technorati.com; there was too much on the page. I guess if I had an interest, I would be willing to dig. For now, I'm giving it all a pass.
In all of my clicking and bumbling around, I did find something to share:

It's a video to sound converter site for your mp3 player.

8 RSS

This is just one more activity to keep me from doing what I should be doing. My new favorite pastime is getting lost in cyberspace through my feeds on Google Reader.

I am curious about how many of my students are aware of RSS. I could use this during Sustainined Silent Reading during class. Students could have their own account with feeds that interest them and read articles of their choice rather than AR books. They could make a public posting and share their thoughts about the articles.

6 Flickr fun and mashups

I enjoyed learning about mashups. I could collect elements from different places and put them together to create motivational posters and the like.

It was easy and fun to upload my pictures to Flickr. This is one of the pictures I uploaded. This is part of my husband's library. He is a voracious reader! His books have books.
