This is just one more activity to keep me from doing what I should be doing. My new favorite pastime is getting lost in cyberspace through my feeds on Google Reader.
I am curious about how many of my students are aware of RSS. I could use this during Sustainined Silent Reading during class. Students could have their own account with feeds that interest them and read articles of their choice rather than AR books. They could make a public posting and share their thoughts about the articles.
It's the holidays! If getting lost in cyberspace relaxes and refreshes you, it's what you should be doing.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of students using RSS to read and respond is good, limited only by their imagination and access to computers, of course.
I am going to give my students the option to use this tool when doing their weekly nonfiction reading.
