21 Podcasts: iPod not required

Two great aspects of the podcast is that now I do not need an iPod to listen to the podcasts and I will automatically be notified when a new cast becomes available. I added two feeds in my Google reader account.

I discovered LD Podcast which is produced and maintained by parents for parents with learning disabilities. The topics range from maximizing success in the classroom to the latest changes in IDEA laws. I also added engage: transforming teaching and learning through technology, a site from the University of Wisconsin. The site provides step by step guides as well as award winning examples.

My goal is to spend time gaining a further understanding about incorporating the use of podcasts in my lesson plans, for teaching and learning.

I get lost in the seemingly endless resources; I could listen for hours about topics that interest me. I wonder what impact this may have on students' reading ability in the future. Will listening and viewing replace reading?
